Position forChief Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the over-all operation of the Motorpool (composed of Heavy Equipment) which includes equipment acquisition, equipment administration, equipment maintenance and equipment disposal.
• Develops short, medium and long-term goals of the Motorpool.
• Leads, supervises, organizes, controls and monitors the activities of the various staff to ensure that the objectives of the Motorpool are met
• Responsible for meeting the Motorpool goals, financial target on revenue and costs and other performance indicators.
• Ensures the implementation of company’s policies, systems and procedures.
• Develops and implements systems and procedures to make the Motorpool more efficient and more effective in its overall operations and in satisfying its customer’s needs
• Conducts performance appraisal of subordinates.
• Conducts safety meetings and trainings regularly to ensure that employees are made aware of necessary safety practices and to ensure that they would internalize the ESH philosophy.
• Reports accidents and all ESH related activities in the Motorpool
• Ensures that the ESH policies are implemented and adhered to by all personnel
• Handles vehicles / plant accreditation from government or private agencies
• Coordinates with HRM and third-party testing agency for driver and operator certification
• Performs functions as maybe assigned to him by the Management
