Due to the current restrictions and other factors brought about by COVID-19, the target completion date has been updated to the first quarter of 2023.
Nevertheless, the management has decided to increase its manpower to complete the project as quickly as possible with the goal of building high-end architectural and structural design. From three teams deployed on-site, they will add two more who will be assigned to work on the villas and facilities.
“There are also specialty subcontractor teams that will come in who are assigned to design and build the steelworks, windows, doors, pools, roof, and MEPF, among others,” The Pavilions El Nido, Palawan Island project management spokesperson shared.

- Excavation/grading of a private access road with over 3km long road network.
- Installed storm drainage throughout the private access road and resort.
- Secured over 20 hectares of land with gate and fencing with 24/7 licensed security.
- Constructed warehouse, staff barracks, workshops and enabling facilities.
- Ongoing clearing / rock excavation in preparation for upcoming villa construction
- Ongoing construction of the five mockup villas.

- Poured concrete for grade beams, footing and slabs

- Installed column rebar to footing rebar
- Installed formworks and stirrups

- Construction preparation for Overwater Villas and boardwalk piles
- Geocell retaining walls and natural vegetative slope protection preparation
- Clearing and grubbing/ rock excavation for all land villas and facilities
- Preparation of building pads for priority villas and facilities
Considering the weather and other site conditions, the team is moving at a promising speed while ensuring the substructures of the villas are of top-tier quality.
“It is important for us that we take our time to make sure the substructure is constructed perfectly to ensure the rest of the villas are built to the highest quality standards available,” the management said.
These substructures are over two stories high with 9+ meter-deep foundations.
